NICHOLAS DAIRY HISTORICAL SITE GARDEN

Located within Regional San lands, the historical site has been restored and is the destination for school field trips throughout the year. In partnership with Sacramento Splash, which runs the educational programs at the site, the club maintains two flower beds - one of dahlias, including historical varieties, and a second of pollinator plants. The dahlia beds were planted in the spring of 2019 and the pollinator beds in the fall of the same year.

LAGUNA TOWN HALL ROSE GARDEN

From 2018 to 2022, the EGGC was instrumental in renovating and expanding the rose garden at the Laguna Town Hall in partnership with the Cosumnes Community Services District. The EGGC  reinvigorated the existing roses, replaced roses, and established addtional planting areas, including planting heirloom roses and installation of an arched trellis as the entry to the garden. This garden is now maintained by community volunteers.

LICHTENBERGER PARK ROSE GARDEN

In late 2020 the EGGC assumed responsibility for the rose garden. Current efforts focus on renovating and replacing roses as well as restructuring the plantings back to the original design of the rose garden. Daffodils and azaleas have been added to the garden for spring color.

JERRY FOX AQUATIC CENTER at Elk Grove Park

As a result of the EGGC's efforts, this project includes the first public wall mural in the park. The mural was completed in October 2019 by muralist Anthony Padilla. The gardens and planting areas around the pool complex were renovated and replanted in 2019 using CSD resources, funds from the National Garden Club Plant America grant program, and donations from EGGC members. The club currently maintains the planting area.
